We recommend contacting these companies no later than 1 week before your scheduled close date. Starting earlier never hurts either!
Transferring service before the seller cancels it is easier than allowing it them to be cut off and then restarted - transfer can be done over the phone and they just change names for billing for a date set by you. If they actually cut off service often someone must meet a technician at the property to turn it back on.
